A Program Just For You
At each monthly visit our patients receive an individual consultation with a Doctor or Family Nurse Practitioner. During this consultation they discuss issues pertaining to the patient's diet, exercise, past medical history, and any other concerns that the patient might express.
A specific program is designed for each patient to assist them in making lifestyle changes necessary to reach their weight loss goal. Most patients qualify for prescription appetite suppressants, such as Phentermine, which curb the hunger typically associated with dieting.
Safety first
Because our program is medically supervised and involves prescription medication, safety is of utmost importance. MediPlan is committed to helping patients lose weight, but our primary focus is protecting their health.
On every patient's initial visit we perform an ECG to check their heart. A Body Mass Index Screening is used to measure the level of health risk posed by their weight. We also urge all new patients to have lab work performed. The Doctor or Family Nurse Practitioner evaluates the results of these tests and the patient's medical history to design an appropriate weight loss program.
The Body Mass Index Screening is also performed on all follow-up visits to allow the Doctor or Family Nurse Practitioner to monitor the patient's weight loss progress.
